Is It Really Just A Coincidence?
By Jim Francis

Many see coincidences as embedded in a higher, transcendental force, a cosmic “glue,” as it were, which binds random events together in a meaningful and coherent pattern. The question has always been: could such a harmonizing principle actually exist?

Or are skeptics right in regarding this as a product of wishful thinking, a consoling myth spawned by the intellectual discomfort and capriciousness of chance?

Mathematician Warren Weaver, in his book, Lady Luck: The Theory of Probability, recounts a fascinating tale of coincidence that stretches our traditional notions of chance to their breaking point.

The story originally appeared in Life magazine. Weaver writes:

All fifteen members of a church choir in Beatrice, Nebraska, due at practice at 7:20, were late on the evening of March 1, 1950.

The minister and his wife and daughter had one reason (his wife delayed to iron the daughter’s dress);

one girl waited to finish a geometry problem;
one couldn’t start her car;

two lingered to hear the end of an especially exciting radio program;

one mother and daughter were late because the mother had to call the daughter twice to wake her from a nap;

and so on.

The reasons seemed rather ordinary. But there were ten separate and quite unconnected reasons for the lateness of the fifteen persons. It was rather fortunate that none of the fifteen arrived on time at 7:20, for at 7:25 the church building was destroyed in an explosion.

The members of the choir, Life reported, wondered if their delay was “an act of God.” Weaver calculates the staggering odds against chance for this uncanny event as about one chance in a million.

Coincidences such as these, some say, are almost too purposeful, too orderly, to be a product of random chance, which strains somewhat to accommodate them. But then how do we explain them?

Another definition for SYNCHRONICITY

Synchronicity at this point can be defined as a series of seemingly unrelated events which are connected via a hidden agenda.

The recent publication of the SUPERSTRING theory indicates that there may well be ten dimensions in existence, not merely the four that ones senses are currently aware of. (Length, breadth, width, time)

There is now considerable mathematical proof to indicate that ten dimensions exist. And most quantum physicists have given serious consideration to this theory. It would appear that the “hidden agenda” of synchronistic events may be transparent and obvious in one or more of these ten dimensions, but become opaque and difficult to fathom when viewed in our current restricted four dimensions.

And there is now at last a small amount of evidence to indicate that when an individuals subconscious mind-set is modified to encourage positive PK synchronistic events (luck) then synchronistic elements may be set into play which materialistic as PK Luck events in our “real time” dimension.

And conversely when a person becomes aware of a series of synchronistic events they can use this special knowledge to trigger a burst of luck.

What has been definitely proven however is that the mind-set of an individual influences their interaction with the environment, to an extent which can leave a person “stunned” at the positive results.

What I have discovered over the past 4 years is that if I call up a dream program to “induce” synchronistic events in my waking life ….then instruct my mind to consciously recognize these events as a synchronistic train….I can usually recognize where they are leading to and be there at the right time and place to take advantage of them.

I have personally had at least a dozen of these recognizable synchronicity trains in the past 3 years and each one has bought me sometimes quite incredible luck. So much so that friends here in Vanuatu keep telling me how lucky I am!!

———————————————————–

“A 30-Second Marketing Plan”

Are you planning a new website?

Do you already have a site up and running?

If so, you need to know this “30-second marketing plan”.

Web surfing is a fast-paced activity. Some surfers (including myself) surf through an average of 10 websites in a five minute span. Yikes! That leaves each site about 30 seconds to reach the three objectives EVERY business website should be after…

Immediately instill confidence in each visitor

Give an irresistible reason to stay BEYOND 30 seconds

Start a lasting relationship

Accomplishing all three of those objectives in that tiny time frame is essential to your success online. Here’s exactly how your website can reach all three objectives in less than 30 seconds…

#1: How to immediately instill confidence in each visitor…

The very first thing a visitor to your site does is form an opinion based on what they see. This means you MUST imprint a unique and positive image in your visitors’ minds immediately. You do that by showing off an “attractive” home page.

C’mon, “attractive?” What is this a beauty contest?

Well, sort of. You see, a HUGE percentage of visitors judge your entire business within the first 10 seconds of visiting your site. If they are presented with a handsome page that loads quickly and looks professional, they may be compelled to stick around. (At least long enough to see what’s in it for them.)

Think about it like this… How many times have YOU clicked away from a site even before it finished loading? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Me too. Web surfers looking for something in particular not only want the right info, they want it from the right source. If your site looks like it was designed by a 12 year old, you’re in big trouble.

And no, you do not need fancy graphics, java and the like. Just make sure your home page is a place that YOU would be instantly impressed by. You do this with a professional logo, a crisp, fresh look and simple navigation links.

Unfortunately, most new webmasters cannot design a website that is professional and attractive. So instead of putting up a lackluster website, their best solution may be to be buy a business site template. Here’s a site that offers low-cost and attractive templates…

Template Monster

Oh yeah, and if you are hosting on one of those free sites, GET OFF and get your own domain name. Free hosting will kill a website before it even has a fighting chance.

If your company won’t spring for it’s own domain name at just a few bucks a year, your potential customers will think twice before they buy from you. Scratch that – most wouldn’t even consider buying from you. Plain and simple.

If you are serious about doing business online, get a domain and a professional web hosting package. If you need help deciding on a domain name, click the domain button at that link. You’ll find a free tool to help you locate a keyword based domain that fits your business.

#2: How to give your visitors an irresistible reason to stay past 30 seconds…

Once you have pleased them with your professional look, get right to the point — give them a reason to stick around.

You do this by making it glaringly obvious how your site can help them. Remember, they probably came looking for something in particular. If they are forced to “search” for how your site may help them, it’s too late, they’re gone.

You can pull this off by displaying a few lines of text prominently, where your visitors will see it right away.

Here are a few examples…

“This site has helped thousands of webmasters design a professional website. Come inside and learn how to design your own site now.”

And my own text which appears in the first two seconds my bizweb2000.com site loads…

“I’ve been making a living online since 1996. I’ll help you do it too…”

Sit down and think about how your site will help your visitors — then make sure you tell them right away.

#3: How to start a lasting relationship with your site visitors.

The single most effective way to hang onto your visitors is to give them a gift and get their email address in exchange.

Hey, getting traffic is tough, so you are crazy if you let them get away without at least trying to stay in touch with them. And no, you don’t have to publish a full newsletter, but offer something! Here’s a great example…

A few years ago I visited a retail site which offered a “monthly specials” email list. Sign-up was free so I took a few seconds and joined. Every month for three years I received their monthly email. Out of 35 or so I received, I probably deleted 30 without even reading them. Yet one month I noticed a product I had been looking for, and at the right price, right in the subject line. Guess what? I opened the message, clicked to the site and bought it. While I was there, I also spent $300 on a digital camera.

As you can clearly see from that example, regular email contact pays off. If not today, maybe next week – or next year. The cost of staying in touch is tiny compared to the long-term rewards.

Just offer something of value in exchange for your visitor’s contact information. And don’t ask a million questions in your sign-up form. Visitors may be interested in what you’re offering, but may shy away if they have to reveal too much information about themselves. A lead is a lead. Ask for their first name and email address only. If you scare them away, they may never be back.

As far as the logistics, use a simple follow-up autoresponder to save their name and email address. Web based autoresponders can automatically follow up with your prospects at regularly scheduled intervals. If you need an autoresponder service, this hosting package as well as many others come with autoresponders built right in.

Once your list starts to grow, you can send newsletters like the one you are reading right now, specials offers, joint venture notices and anything else directly related to what they asked for. Just don’t overdo it. Your subscribers can be your lifeline to your business if you treat them right.

One last note on opt-in lists – I understand they take time to build. But it is time well-spent. Of course, there are legitimate ways to jump-start your list building. If you don’t want to wait the standard list building time curve, consider my friend Gary Baker’s unique package. He offers fresh lists of 5,000 opt-in subscribers at just four cents each – a jump-start package that is ideal for new and established business alike.

OK, that’s it for today’s tip. You now know exactly what your site needs to do the first 30 seconds every time a new visitor arrives… Impress, inform and retain. It’s as simple as that!

You truly want to do something to make your life mean something.
Maybe...You pick something that sounds fun, interesting, challenging or something that has a support system...like network marketing.

The Key to Success: The Ultimate Secret

By Kevin Hogan http://www.kevinhogan.com/

[This is a reprint of an article written by Mr Kevin Hogan and contains some extremely valuable information for anyone and everyone. The "Key" is not a new app, or a new theory. It's not another home study course or 12lb box of material to learn. I know you're gonna like this.]

This article contains the first-ever $100,000 Key. About 15 times per year, I put a $10,000 key in an article.

The single most profound piece of information for achievement and success that I’ve ever written about is in this article. Pass it along to your friends….

….The intention is pure.

You truly want to do something to make your life mean something.

Maybe…You pick something that sounds fun, interesting, challenging or something that has a support system…like network marketing.

I don’t like it.

Lousy choice for a business until you’ve already succeeded in business or are a top 10% salesperson. Network marketing has too many drawbacks for people who haven’t been successful in business. Avoid it. I can’t tell you how many people have told me they were going to make millions only to make their way to bankruptcy court.

Exceptions?

You bet. I’ve seen some people do real well with PrePaid Legal and Primerica which both have solid business models and some advantages other products/programs don’t have…but I’d still pick an entrepreneurial venture. Save Amway for later.

A support system is nice but it isn’t absolutely necessary for million-dollar achievement.

Another possibility?

Internet affiliate programs are some of the easiest, fastest ways to build a kick-butt income. They might be two-tiered, which is fine and they DO qualify as a true entrepreneurial venture.

That means YOU determine whether you will succeed or not. It’s hard to say a person has 100% control in anything in life, but on the Internet you have about as much control and self-determinism as you can get in life.

So, for your first venture, you pick a business that doesn’t require recruiting. (This way your friends still love you at Christmas.)

You might do any of a lot of things, but you finally DO something.

You start the “going into business process.”

The thinking process goes OK.

The planning process goes OK.

The first phone calls or set of actions are uncomfortable.

Uh oh….

Because selling is uncomfortable, or making your first website is uncomfortable or whatever, you decide that this is probably “wrong for you.”

I was mentoring a friend who was getting ready to start a service business ealier this week.

“My marketing plan is to hang those things from door knobs. I’ll service the people who call in.”

“You’ll go broke.”

That hurts so bad to say that.

It hurts worse to hear it.

The person thinks you’re (me) “being negative.”

No.

Just saving them $100,000, bankruptcy and their future.

It takes almost no time to borrow $100,000, start a business and kill it, and then wonder why it happened, or what went wrong.

Where things go wrong is at the intersection of you and your discomfort.

When you do something you aren’t familiar with, or comfortable with, or you inherently don’t like, you rarely will find the stick-to-it-iveness to continue.

Let’s break this down to what happened to you…

Whatever it was, you got this FEELING inside that you couldn’t make the phone call or knock on the door or make the website.

(Any of these actions requires no mental skill whatsoever. Children aged 6 can successfully do any or all of these things.)

Or, you couldn’t get past writing the third chapter.

Or you got the web page up but trying to figure out the program for the page was too frustrating.

You got down.

You FELT bad.

You felt a bit depressed.

You felt like you KNEW you were doing the wrong business model.

You might have gotten angry.

You might have cursed. “IT” DIDN’T WORK.

And this of course is the most likely result. People truly think that “it” doesn’t “work.”

Or the better and more definitive cop out….”It wasn’t meant to be.”

Here’s the hard truth.

Write this down on paper, paint it on the wall. Post it on your computer;

It has nothing to do with a positive attitude.

It has nothing to do with what you “believe.”

It has nothing to do with positive thinking.

It has nothing to do with working smarter instead of harder.

It has nothing to do with having your intentions aligned with the universe and attracting something.

It has nothing to do with what was meant to be.

It has nothing to do with ‘the Secret’.

The answer is simple.

You didn’t do two things that are necessary for success:

1. You didn’t CONTINUE until it was DONE.

2. You didn’t walk through the fire of discomfort, pain and fear.

You quit when it got hard.

You quit when it got frustrating.

You got tired.

You got angry.

You were upset.

You were apathetic.

You let your feelings get in the way of what you wanted in life and then to make it all OK, you determined:

a) it doesn’t work or

b) who really wants to do X anyway?

There’s a lot of people being suckered right now by a popular book that tells you to get in alignment with your feelings for things to work out.

If you do that…

….it is a 100% guarantee that you will ultimately fail. (Usually quickly.)

Don’t misunderstand…Feelings aren’t the “enemy.”

There’s not a thing wrong with feeling upset, angry, tired, apathetic, happy or sad.

Feelings are a wake-up call that you have not become comfortable in a specific life experience.

Feelings of discomfort talk to you. They say to you that you belong in your hamster wheel…but you misinterpret them to read, “this isn’t right for me.”

Feelings aren’t very smart.

They have zero IQ.

Interpreting something with no “sense” to it is something no one is taught in school or anywhere else.

And it’s not your fault.

No one ever taught you how to TRULY understand feelings.

Without going into a big long diatribe on neuropsychology, feelings and emotions, let’s just put it this way:

You simply can’t run your life based on your feelings or you will be doing all the things that “feel good” all the time…addiction.

Run your life on your feelings and you fail. And, you fail fast.

“Honey would you feed the baby?”

“I haven’t slept in a week. I’m to exhausted. Would you please?”

“No can do. I don’t feel like it. My feelings aren’t aligned with my intention to watch the game.”

Baby dies.

Oh well. At least they felt good.

People who run their lives based on their feelings become addicts of “feeling good and avoid feeling anything painful or bad.”

It’s only human nature.

And the addict won’t change.

Feeling “good” is simply too fun and easy…until they take the furniture, the house and the kids.

When you walk through the fire of your feelings, fear and pain, you WILL ULTIMATELY come to the point that your new actions become familiar.

It can take a week or two or three or four depending on how much you are involved. It doesn’t take long but getting past the first day or two or three is a toughie.

So, now, for the $100,000 KEYPOINT…

$100,000 KEYPOINT:

ACTION: Walk through the fire of your feelings, fear and pain and you will ultimately FEEL COMFORTABLE and FAMILIAR with all of the NEW ASPECTS of Life/Experience/Business/Relationship.

Next up is MOMENTUM.

Momentum is SO important.

If you dedicate 10 hours per day, 7 days per week, to your project X for six weeks, it will be almost a sure thing that you will succeed over the next 10 years at Project X.

Your life will COMPLETELY change.

You will be COMPLETELY transformed.

You will be CAPABLE of just about anything that is humanly possible.

But only a teeny tiny percentage of people will be willing to be that uncomfortable for six weeks.

After all, they work already work 8 hours a day plus commuting.

They want BALANCE when they get home.

They are so screwed.

Let’s put it this way:

Women will go through discomfort for 9 MONTHS to make a baby.

(If you think you were that important, even if you went to the baby classes, you’re so self-deluded that you’ll never make it in business. You went to the classes for one reason. To convince your wife you were worth not killing.)

Women go 9 months…but men?

The guy won’t spend 9 WEEKS to create a financial support system for the baby and Mom. (And you wonder why we are expendable as men? Hello?)

That Mom is pregnant 24/7. There is no “longer day.” They are all long. And I’m flat out serious.

Oh and don’t think I’m being politically correct. Two years later that Mom will go to a job and get paid less than a man because she missed two years of whirlwind changes in business that she couldn’t humanly have kept up with.

Success is about reality. People who whine that something is too hard: I got no problem with that.

People who whine that something is too hard and don’t DO ANYTHING TO OVERCOME IT, I got a big problem with that.

What’s a real shame is that people TRULY BELIEVE that building their own business which is something they have chosen, something they personally find interesting, something that might actually be rewarding, is harder than running the hamster wheel every day for the rest of their life (until they retire).

The only thing that is ‘harder’ is the work that will be done in the first couple of months while building momentum.

After that nothing compares to the freedom your own love and interests bring. And you know that every hour you work, is for you and those who depend on you.

But it’s darn tough to get someone to make decisions based upon how they MIGHT FEEL in two months.

The VALUE of some FEELING or some DOLLAR FIGURE in two months is NOTHING compared to the pain or fear or ANYTHING that you FEEL NOW, in this moment…

People run in the moment and only the moment. And that is why they fail.

Without getting all political (this used to be a better metaphor than it is now), when the woman gets pregnant, there is no turning back. She toughs it out for nine months and has a baby. Then toughs it out for 18 years and creates an adult.

But men?

Shoot, we don’t HAVE TO HAVE a business. We don’t HAVE to be successful. We don’t HAVE to achieve. We can MAKE IT on what we have going on now in the hamster wheel as long as nothing horrible happens like disability or the kids get hurt or they get really sick or go deaf or blind or yeah…all the things that you can count on ONE happening but you don’t know WHICH one….which is WHY you MUST set out to achieve NOW.

I want to feel good right now.

We all want to feel good NOW.

We want the burger, the cigarette, the whatever feels good in the moment thing RIGHT NOW and the idea of delaying gratification is simply unheard of.

So, we throw out Project X and go back to being depressed because we are in the hamster wheel and that is predictable, comfortable and familiar. It’s hated but it isn’t feared.

It makes no rational sense at all.

It’s all based on feelings and emotion.

It’s simply how people act. Very predictable. Very understandable.

BUT WAIT!!!!!

Say you want to be different. YOU want to be one of the teeny tiny few that actually does something that is cool in life.

What is the REAL SECRET?

The bogus secret is to visualize, feel good about it, (some say take action) be grateful as you receive it.

Guaranteed to fail long-term, if not immediately.

Here’s the real secret.

See, Believe, Begin, Continue, Finish

Those five words summarize it all. The formula. The golden key. The real Master Key.

Most people can get past the first three then of course, they stop.

Most people are great starters but don’t finish stuff.

“Idea people,” is how they refer to themselves.

“Idea people” have no self-discipline but will work comfortably (if not irritably) in just about any hamster wheel on the planet.

“Idea people” have no tangible value to offer because they can’t complete a project. And it’s a shame. Because it isn’t their fault. No one ever taught them CONTINUE AND FINISH.

They work just as hard as a “finisher” but they don’t ever FINISH their IDEA. Thus they have 25 projects that are worthless.

People aren’t worth dollars per hour….they are worth dollars per successfully completed and implemented and managed project…

I just signed a contract for another book.

They don’t care whether it takes me 2 minutes, 2 hours or two years to write the book. I get paid the same no matter what. 10% (to name a number)

They frankly don’t care if the book is all that incredible.

That’s my reputation on the line.

What do they care about?

Sales.

Period.

Is the book going to sell?

That’s the deal.

A publisher doesn’t pay minimum wage. They are happy, no, thrilled to pay you $100,000 for your royalties. It’s essentially one of the few logical businesses.

You sell 100,000 books, you make $100,000.

You sell 1 book, you make $1.

Now you know how much you are worth to your publisher.

Entitlement schemes that include “benefit packages”, minimum wage, stock options are all tossed out the window.

There is no “affirmative action”.

Black people don’t get paid more than Indians. Indians don’t get paid more than White people.

How many books sold?

When you THINK like a writer, you can be successful.

It’s pretty much the same as thinking like a good farmer.

A writer has to do several things right.

1) Write a book he is proud of. (Makes it easier to write the next book.)

2) Write a book that will sell.

3) Write a book that will sell the writer as worth doing future business with.

4) Sell the book.

5) Get paid.

No stock options. No minimum wage. No guaranteed salary. No raises. No getting fired. No pay reduction.

It comes down to ONE thing. PERFORMANCE.

You can never whine about your pay as an author (outside of contractual “misunderstandings*).

It’s the same thing in the music business.

Similar but not quite identical in the movies.

You get paid if people buy your product or service. Period.

Think about it.

If you want to succeed, to achieve, is there any other way to get paid?

If you want to achieve, there never will be another way!

The one thing that most internet marketers want the MOST is
what they need the LEAST.

3 Keys To Kick-Start Your Business

In The Next 24 Hours

By Jimmy D. Brown of http://www.SixFigureFormula.com

Want to hear something that is VERY ironic?

The one thing that most internet marketers want the MOST is
what they need the LEAST.

Most internet marketers are actively looking for a new
marketing tactic or tool.

Their days are spent trying this idea and that idea, giving
this new thing a chance and that new thing a chance.

They try a few list-building things. They try a few traffic
generation things. They try a few affiliate marketing things.

They do the SEO “trick” they heard about on the forum. They
write a gazillion ezine articles ‘cuz they heard that works.
They move on to videos. Yeah, videos — that’s the answer
because it’s new for now.

30 days later, 6 months later, 3 years later … they’re
singing a new verse of the same song.

They are actively looking for a new marketing tactic or tool.

In the process what they’ve been spending money instead of
making it. They’ve been wasting time instead of freeing it
up.

What’s the problem? Is it all smoke and mirrors? Is it all
one big scam?

The problem is the ironic and sad reality: most internet
marketers never see huge success because they constantly
pursue things they WANT instead of things they NEED.

We’ll get back to that in just a moment. HOld that thought.

What I’m going to share with you in the remainder of this
article will be a paradigm shift for a few who “get it”.

Some will skeptically say, “Jimmy is just trying to sell
something.” Some will say, “Ah, what does he know?” Some
will say, “I’m sure that’s right, but it’s not as sexy as
all this other 3-ring circus stuff the gurus are doing”.

Whatever.

Take it for what it is. I’ve been doing this for ten
years. I make a lot of money. I spend a whole lot more
time traveling and playing tennis and going on mission
trips that I do on my business.

I must know something. It may not be flashy. But it’s
like novocaine, folks. Give it enough time and it
always works.

Someone out there will read this. And they’ll get that
what I’m telling you is legit. For that person, it’s
time for a new song.

For the rest of you. Come back in 30 days. Or 6 months.
Or 3 years. And read this post. Maybe then it will
sink in.

Here are 3 keys to kick-starting your business in the
next 24 hours…

————— SIDEBAR ——————–
I’m offering my 4-week coaching program ONE FINAL TIME
before I permanently retire it. If you’d like me to
personally work with you one-on-one to build YOUR
internet business in just 3 hours per day, visit
http://www.SixFigureFormula.com immediately. There
are only 50 spots available and this is the LAST TIME
I will be conducting the class
—————- SIDEBAR ——————-

1. STREAMLINE.

The first order of business is to bring some order to
your business! You’ve got to streamline. And what I
mean by that is simply this: do one thing and do it
well.

You need to “decide what you want to be when you grow up”.
That is, what business model do you want to follow? What
is the ONE primary thing you’re going to do to make money?

Are you going to create information products? Be an
affiliate marketer? Sell items on eBay? Create and flip
websites? Provide a service? Coach?

Resist the temptation to try it all. Resist the temptation
to dabble. Dabbling is a horrible, horrible thing for the
average internet marketer. Trying a little bit of many
things almost certainly will mean you won’t do anything
well.

Decide right now what the ONE PRIMARY method of generating
cash for your business will be. Don’t proceed until
you’ve streamlined your business.

Then…

2. SYSTEMIZE.

Internet marketing is too big in and of itself. Imagine
someone saying, “Now go do health” or “get out there and
be a traveler” or “start parenting”.

Regardless of what your ONE revenue path is, there will
be many parts. You’ve got to systemize your business
into manageable chunks. You’ve got to break everything
down into a daily, weekly and monthly schedule of action
steps.

For me, I keep it very simple. I have three parts to
my business…

* Offer creation.
* List marketing.
* Traffic generation.

I create a new offer. I market it to my list. I drive
traffic to the offer site.

End of story.

I have a system I use to create a new offer. I have a
system I use to write and send mailings. I have a
system I use for getting visitors to my site.

It’s the same system I’ve been using since 2000.
Novocaine, folks. Always works.

Create a checklist of action steps for ONE kind of offer.
Create a checklist of action steps for ONE way to build
a monetize a list. Create a checklist of action steps
for ONE method of generating website traffic.

Don’t try a bunch of things and do them average or poorly.
Find ONE method and do it WELL.

You want to UNcomplicate things. You want a MINIMAL set
of action steps. You want to do the very least amount of
different things as possible to achieve your goal.

You’ve got to systemize your business into manageable
chunks.

Then…

3. STICK.

Perhaps the most devastating thing in the life of the 95%
of those who fail is this: they don’t stick to it.

Seriously, that’s what failure is … it’s NOT DOING
SOMETHING. It’s quitting. It’s coming up short of the
finish line. It’s NOT DOING SOMETHING.

When you narrow things down to ONE way of making money
and then create a simple checklist of MINIMAL ACTION
STEPS to make money, you absolutely must STICK TO IT.

Don’t quit. Don’t quit. Don’t quit.

Despite me saying this, most reading it will quit anyway.

A “new” offer of the week will come along and they’ll
get distracted. Someone well respected in the industry
will convince them that the latest trick is the “most
important thing you’ll ever do” (Talk about a new verse
of the same song!) Things won’t happen instantly,
overnight like other people promise.

Listen, you can rationalize the decision to quit in a
thousand different ways. You can make excuses for why
you should move on and try something else.

Label it whatever you want, but just below the surface
you’ll see this word tattoed on your being in permanent
ink … failure. If you quit, it’s all the same … it’s
NOT DOING SOMETHING.

I know it’s hard to stick to things when there LITERALLY
is a new offer in your face every single day. Most people
just can’t resist that temptation.

So, do this: find yourself one mentor that you trust
and believe and remove yourself from everyone else’s list.
Just cut that temptation off at the root.

At the end of the day, I can tell you this. I’m about
to celebrate 10 years online. I make more money than
ever and work less than ever. I promise you, I know
what I’m talking about here.

If you want to do well online, you’ve got to STREAMLINE,
SYSTEMIZE and STICK.

You can stop reading right now and apply what I’ve told
you so far and you’ll be right on target in six months.
Pay attention to what I’m saying. You don’t need what
I’m about to offer you. I know that’s contradictory to
most people’s sales pitch. I’m supposed to convince you
to buy something from me right now. And it’s true that
I do have an offer for you. But I’m telling you up
front, you can do everything I’ve told you above and
be fine on your own. You don’t need my offer.

Now, for those who want some hand-holding and some
specifics for the three keys above, I can help you.

I can personally (one-on-one) answer your questions,
help you create a daily schedule and give you some
specific action steps to take each week to build a
streamlined, systemized and sticked plan of action.

All the details are at http://www.SixFigureFormula.com

Due to the personal interaction with me, there are only
50 spots available. Once they are sold out, they are
gone. I can only take 50 students since I’ll be
personally interacting with you EVERY DAY for four
weeks.

Check it out at http://www.SixFigureFormula.com

WARNING: This is the FINAL time I will be offering this
coaching program. I am permanently retiring it after
this last class, so join now or miss out forever.

Regardless of whether we create a plan together or if
you do it independently, it’s time for you to sing a
new song. Good luck!

Best regards,

“A MILLIONAIRES SECRET”

by Allen Says Warrior Pro

===========================================================

Washington DC was nasty as could be. As I sat on the bench waiting for my bus to arrive I couldn’t wait to get back to the backwoods of Louisiana. I had almost sat in a pool of blood that was on the far end of the bench and I was ready to go. I truly hope people coming to visit our country don’t make DC one of their stops.

Anyway, before my bus arrived I was approached by a nicely dressed elderly gentleman in need of directions. I told him I had no idea what he was looking for as I too was just passing through. To this day I’m not sure why, but we started talking as if we had known each other for years.

We talked about life, people and eventually the conversation turned to business. It was here that the gentlemen saw something in me, I suppose, that made him feel like sharing what he said was the greatest secret ever told. He said everyone had heard it but almost no one paid any attention to it, even though it was the one thing that could bestow a fortune upon any man or woman who used it.

My ears where definitely starting to perk up. Something about his tone told me this man knew from whereof he spoke. And I wanted to know what the secret was with a passion. He must have sensed my anxiousness because at that very moment he gave me a warning that was almost a scolding.

I’ll try to recount here as best I can the rest of our conversation…

Man: “Do not make the mistake of shrugging off what I am about to tell you because you have heard it before.
No doubt you have heard it already from at least one person in your life. You may have even heard it many times.
Do you have any aversion to religion Mr. Says?”

Me: “No I don’t. I don’t believe many preachers know what they are talking about or even what they are trying to teach, but I do know the Bible has a lot of great knowledge in it.”

Man: “Good. I would not want you to discount what I am about to tell you because it does come directly from the Bible. But its applications reach far beyond what most people can conceive of. It will take thought, intense pondering on your part, to begin to get some inkling of its power.”

“This simple secret, when applied to business, will draw money to you as easily as water runs down a mountain. Even a fool can apply it and prosper. When applied to relationships, it will create more friends than you can handle” (laughing heartily)

Me: “What is it, I’m dying to know now?”

Man: “Patience Mr. Says, Patience. I will not give it to you as it has always been repeated by fools who have no respect or knowledge of what it even means.
No. I will give it to you another way.”
“What type of business are you interested in?”

Me: “Well, I’m dabbling in Mail Order right now. I would like to place ads and sell books.”

Man: “Fine. Fine. Mail Order it is. Let me tell you how to create a fortune in this Mail Order. All you have to do is create the product you want to buy”

Me: “I don’t understand”

Man: “You will”

“You see, you are your market. Whatever you want, there are millions of other people wanting the same thing. That elusive product you are looking for is the product millions of others are also looking for right now.”

“All you have to do is create the product you want to buy, the product you yourself have been looking for. Once you have this product, what would you want the sales message to say so that you know this is the product you have been looking for?”

“If someone else where selling this product, what would you want the ad to say, what would get you to buy this product?. When you have that answer, that is the ad you want to create.”

Me: “I see” (hesitantly)

Man: “See the business across the street here? Pizza. I could triple the business that place does inside of 10 minutes. That’s what I do by the way” (smiling)

“All I would do is walk into the business as a customer. I would sit there and imagine all the things that could be done to me that would make me a loyal customer to that business for life.
What could they do for me that would make me feel this way?”

“Once I had the answers to that question, I would implement them across the board. Every customer would be treated the way I had imagined. And without any doubt what so ever that business would triple the profits it now makes.”

Me: “I think I know…”

Man: “Wait, you don’t really know anything yet. That’s the problem with people. They brush something off because of where it came from or because they heard it many times. Leave that for fools.
You won’t “know it” until you have deeply pondered it and put it to use.”

Me: “Ok”

Man: “What I am telling you has power undreamed of. The simple words used to describe it cannot contain it.
Does not do justice to it, and has been prostituted by blabber mouths who let wisdom fall off their lips with not even a single brain cell grasping what they are rambling about.”

“What I am telling you is Law, not man’s Law, but the very Law’s of nature herself. It’s the way things work and those who truly understand it rise to the top in every field known to man.”

“What people don’t understand is that it applies to everything. This secret can be applied with virtually every step you take, everything you do, every word you speak and everyone concerned profits by it.”

“If you are a writer, write like you would like to be written to”

“If you are a salesman, sell like you would like to be sold to”

“If you are a speaker, speak like you would like to be spoken to”

“If you want more love, then love like you would like to be loved”

“If you want more friends, be the friend you would like to see”

“When you infuse everything you do with this secret it takes on a magical power.
Businesses dominate the market, books become best sellers, leaders attract huge and loyal followings.”
“How would you like it?”
“How would you respond to it?”
“How would it make you feel?”

“Those are great questions to think about every time you do or create something. You will get into the hearts and minds of everyone who comes under your influence if you will first think how you would have it done to you.”

“I’m certain you already know the quote from the Bible I’m referring to. But don’t repeat it, just ponder it and pratice it.”

Me: “I do. But I’ve never thought of how it could actually apply to everything in life. I too was one of those fools who passed it over without so much as a second thought.
I really want to thank you for sharing this with me.”

Man: “It’s been a real pleasure talking with you Mr. Says, have a safe journey home.”

And with that, he was gone. The funny thing was, as I was riding home on the bus I realized I never got his name, nor do I remember ever giving him mine.
Maybe he saw my luggage tag. I’m not sure. It really doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I’ve profited from that advice for the last 15 years.

I’m not even really any good at it either and I’ve still pulled in huge amounts of money. Especially from the Internet. This is one place this knowledge can really shine.
People have always asked me my secret. How come the Warriors is still here, with the same products, with all this competition, after all these years?

This one simple secret is the answer. I always ask myself:

How would I like to be treated by this company?

What would I like to see?

What would I like to get?

How would I like to be dealt with?

Those simple questions are all you have to answer. When you do get the answers, put them into action and watch what happens.

Create The Site You’ve Been Looking For

Write Like You Would Like To Be Written To

Sell Like You Would Like To Be Sold To

Talk Like You Would Like To Be Talked To

Deal Like You Would Like To Be Dealt With

Create For Others What You Would Like Created For You

Excite Others The Way You Would Like To Be Excited

Allen Says is the creator of legendary Internet Marketing Warriors group – probably responsible for more millionaires than any other community today.

How to Promote Any Affiliate Program In 5 Easy Steps

By Jimmy D. Brown of http://www.Affiliatenaire.com

…………………….

Using ezine articles is a great way to promote your favorite affiliate program. What I’d like to do in this article is

provide you with a simple system for effectively writing an ezine article that strategically promotes your offer.

There are five steps…

1. CHOOSE THE OFFER YOU WISH TO PROMOTE

This one is kind of a no-brainer. It all begins with deciding

what you want to promote. What offer would you like to

send traffic to.

HINT: You can promote your affiliate link directly, but

what works better is to promote a list at YOUR site which

you then use to promote your affiliate link over and over

again after the visitor becomes a subscribers.

2. DETERMINE YOUR “USEFUL, BUT INCOMPLETE” APPROACH.

I love to use what I have coined as the “useful, but

incomplete” approach when using freebies of any kind.

(Ezine articles, free eBooks, reports, eCourses, etc.)

What I mean by that is simply this: You provide your reader

with “useful” information (something they find of value and

are able to actually apply) but make certain that it is

“incomplete” in that they can better use the information

by making a purchase.

That’s “useful, but incomplete.” And it works like a charm.

The idea is to use your content to build up to your desired

response. You provide the reader with content, and then

you make an offer that allows them to fully utilize the

content, gain extra insight from the content or maximize

the content in some additional way.

Let me give you an example -

If I wanted to promote an autoresponder service in an

ezine article, how could I do it? I’d write an article

that explains how to benefit from using autoresponders.

My article would exlain different uses of autoresponders

and how the reader could profit from implementing the

ideas.

** I.E. 7 Ways To Create Revenue Streams With Autoresponders

Naturally, they will need an autoresponder service in order to

use the information, right? And I just happen to know of a

great service they can use. More on that later.

OK, so that’s an example of how to promote a SERVICE offer

with your ezine article. What about a software product or an

eBook?

Want some examples?

Good, because I’ve got two…

TO PROMOTE A SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

Let’s suppose you want to promote

a software program that creates “ecovers”. How can you do it?

– Write an article outlining how important presentation of your

offer is, and how creating a cover graphic can increase response

rates by up to 1300%

– Write a step-by-step tutorial article for “do-it-yourselfers”,

explaining how to design your own graphics from scratch. Then

promote the software as a super-simplified way of doing it.

TO PROMOTE AN EBOOK.

Let’s suppose you want to promote an ebook

that teaches advanced list-building strategies. How can you do it?

– Write an article that covers the “basics” of building lists,

and then promote the eBook as the “advanced” tactics.

– Write an article on how to profit from a list, and then promote

the eBook as the “how to build the list.”

See how easy this is?

That’s how it works. Determine what your “useful, but incomplete”

approach will be, and then…

3. TURN YOUR APPROACH INTO A TIPS OR TUTORIAL ARTICLE.

Let’s use my example again. I decided that I would describe various

uses of autoresponders and how the reader can actually profit from

them. What kind of tips list or tutorial could I create?

* How to Generate More Subscribers, Sales and Profits With

Automated Follow-Up Messages”

* 7 Powerful And Profitable Ways To Use Autoresponders To Skyrocket

Your Sales and Subscribers!

* Want to Increase Your Online Profits And Leads? Here are 7 Ways

to Do It…

I actually went with the middle title. I wrote my list of the 7

ideas that I wanted to share. And I had the makings of a perfect

article to promote an offer.

That’s all you need to do. Determine your end result. Decide how

to get there with your “useful, but incomplete” approach. And then

develop a list, or even a step-by-step tutorial for your article

that leads the reader along.

With each new “idea” or “way” or “tip” or “step” or “strategy”

that you share, you can further direct the reader towards

realizing their need of your upcoming offer, and lay the

foundation for them to accept the offer.

4. EXPAND ON EACH POINT TO BUILD YOUR CONTENT.

Here’s more of the easy part. Just “fill-in-the-blanks” to complete

your article. Write 1-2 short paragraphs for each of your points.

Make them good. Provide quality content. The offer you will soon

make will see poor results if your information isn’t useful.

Remember, you are trying to presell the reader on the idea that

they are going to need your offer. If you don’t provide them with

quality information that they WANT to begin using immediately,

then why will they want to buy what you are promoting?

Light a fire in them. Motivate them. Challenge them. Give them

such nuggets of gold that they want to keep mining until they

hit the mother lode!

5. PUT ON THE FINISHING TOUCHES WITH THE “FIVE PILLARS”

There are five things that you should always do to finish up

your ezine article. Don’t skip any of them. They are all

critical…

* POLISH. Re-read your article. Does it provide information

that really is “useful” to the reader? And yet leaves them

wanting even more? That’s what you want. Polish it. Put

on the wax and make it shine. It has a very specific

purpose — make certain it has the means to achieve it.

* PROMOTE. Use your resource box to promote your offer. This

is why we’ve written the article, right? Remember step one?

It’s time to put it into play. Give the reader what they

(hopefully) are wanting…a way to maximize the information

you gave them.

* PROOF. Don’t do this yourself. Have a trusted friend, relative

or co-worker check your article for grammatical and

typographical errors. The last thing you want to do is present

a poor image after sharing some high quality information.

* PUBLISH. Zip your new article out to your favorite list of

publishers. Submit it to the announcement lists and the ezine

directories. Don’t forget to publish it yourself in your own

newsletter!

* PROFIT. If you’ve covered all the bases that I’ve mentioned,

then profits are almost certain to start coming in when your

ezine article is published. You deserve it. Be proud of your

accomplishments.

And then start it all over again!

That’s how you promote your favorite affiliate program in 5 easy

steps using ezine articles.

Obviously, there are many other ways to promote your affiliate

program, as well as a considerable more “details” in the strategy

we’ve looked at today. If you’d like 52 great ways to promote

I just bet that every retailer, wholesaler, vendor or merchant is probably wondering
about this question. With the state of the economy everyone is watching sales drop
and many products are on shelves and websites not moving at all.

Consumers are being wary of where and what they are spending their dollars on not
sure of what tomorrow will bring. Napolean Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich” began
his rise to millions in the depression of the early 30′s, selling information, newspapers!

Today’s post is by Willie Crawford, a noted Internet Marketer, and shares some of his
experience with the downturned economy.

Hope you enjoy it and be sure to leave your comments at the end.

What Products Still Sell During This Recession?

Copyright 2009 by Willie Crawford
In a recent Twitter discussion on products I sell, I was asked,
“but what if none of your products sell?”
The real question that I was being asked there was,
“What products still sell now?”

Regardless of economic conditions, some products will
always sell.
In fact, many millionaires are made during every major
recession or depression. It’s just a matter of figuring out
what your market wants and offering it to them.

I have noticed a downturn in sales of many of the products
that I market, but have also noticed an increase in sales of
some of my products.

In the “Internet marketing niche” where I often operate,I’ve
noticed that many customers have tightened their belts, and that
lower priced items are the only ones moving really briskly for me. So,
I’ve offered a lot more inexpensive items, using my standard marketing
methods such as:
a) article marketing,
b) video marketing,
c) marketing via social media, blogging, and using
ezine editorials.
Those items are selling well. I do still manage to sell
a good number of big ticket items, but here is the key:

“... The items that sell best are the items that address a

real PAIN that my market is already aware of.”

If they are not already aware of the pain, and already looking
for the solution, it’s a harder job selling many products
(solutions) under any economic conditions.
Having to educate your customer as to the fact that:
1) they have a problem,
2) you have the solution,
3) what your product does and why it’s the ideal solution,
is an uphill battle.

When you think of real pain, think of the teenagers battling
acne, as they are in their prime dating years. They will do
almost ANYTHING to keep those pimples at bay.
Transfer that concept to my niche of Internet marketing,
and what are some of the obviously painful problems.

Several that immediately come to mind are:
- Lack of sufficient website traffic
- Lack of enough motivated joint venture partners to do a
large product launch
- Lack of enough time to do everything required to operate
an Internet business
- Locating products that actually sell
- Writing effective web copy
- Motivating and training affiliates
- Choosing a profitable niche
- one where customers are still making lots of purchases

If you frequent my blog, you’ll notice that I address many
of these issues in my
blog posts, and in the products that I review/offer. That’s
because I instinctively
notice these problems and seek out solutions.

That is why I am still making lots of sales despite this recession.
To give you a few more specific examples:

1) I address the topic of choosing a niche that’s still profitableby pointing out
that the market of teaching ecommerce to, and consulting with offline businesses, is HUGE.

Offline businesses have marketing budgets, and if you show them that
you can deliver measurable results, they will spend their dollars with you. I market
products that teach Internet marketers how to conduct 1-day seminars in their cities,
and earn $10,000 or more in a day by teaching ecommerce to local offline businesses.

You can see the package that I offer, one that sells well at:
http://TeachingEcommerceToLocalBusinesses.com

2) Many Internet marketers now realize that a membership
site is the perfect model for setting up some residual income.
Yet, many of them are intimidated by the software and
processes needed to run these sites.

So, I market an easy-to-install, and very inexpensive script for running
membership sites. I also give away a report on how to run a profitable
membership site.
This script sells like hotcakes!

I even generously include master resale rights with the script package,
all for less than $20.
This is an absolutely irresistible deal, and so my Paypal account is
constantly “singing”
You can check out that set-up at:
http://WillieCrawford.com/SMS/

3) To address the problem of motivating and training
affiliates, I do two things.
First, I offer a free course that trains struggling
affiliate marketers. This course is the entry
into my funnel where, as I train affiliate marketers, I also
recruit some of them as affiliates
for my products. That is a win-win proposition. I actually
share tactics and techniques that
have worked amazingly well for me in selling affiliate
products in my free course. The affiliates
that I teach this to begin to experience more success, and
delivering tremendous value first
turns many of them into my loyal affiliates. You can see how
I offer my free affiliate training at:

http://WillieCrawford.com/FreeAffiliateTraining/

While many people struggle to grow their lists, and to
recruit new affiliates, I average 200 new signups a DAY. By
the way, if you’d like to set up a similar system, you can
begin with the
“affiliate training program in a box” at:
http://WillieCrawford.com/TrainYourAffiliates/

Notice that I just addressed another problem. Many new
product owners, who have never run an affiliate program
before, don’t have the time or energy to put together an
affiliate training program.
Yet, if they don’t train their affiliates, they will make
very few sales. Most new affiliates simply don’t know HOW
to make sales. I addressed that painful and obvious problem
by offering an affiliate training program in a box. All they
need to do is upload it to their autoresponders, and upload
a few videos (supplemental training) to their servers, and
they are all set.

Getting back to the question of what still sells.

You absolutely must sell something the market wants and is already looking for.

You must sell something that solves an obvious and very painful problem.

Do that, and you WILL continue to make brisk sales regardless of economic conditions.
——————————————

Today’s post is an email I received from David Vallieries, author of ” Fail Faster For Success “.

As it is related to Success Thinking I wanted to share it with you. Enjoy

===============================================

Hey Douglas,

I was listening to a recording made at a success seminar recently.

The speaker said something I thought was really interesting.

He said, “It’s not failure we’re afraid of, it’s success.”

It was one those “ah ha” moments for me.

As you know I have always been curious why some people
succeed and some don’t.

My first report on ‘success vs failure’ was ‘Fail Faster
for Success‘.. in that report I suggested that failing
faster in low-risk situations was the way to help you
succeed faster because, if you can eliminate what does
not work, you can more quickly discover what does work.

If you haven’t downloaded that report or lost your copy
you can get it here (I renamed it, but it’s the same report
with updated information):

http://www.thinkandsucceed.com/free-gift-for-visiting

What this speaker said made a lot of sense to me.

The tools, the resources, the information and everything
you need to succeed is readily available. So why do people
still choose ‘failure’ over success?

The reason is they are more comfortable as a ‘failure’.

Strange as that sounds when you hear it, it’s true.

In order to succeed you have to move from ‘comfortable’
to ‘scary’ positions in your life.

You have to start doing things you’re not used to- things
that are a little ‘scary’ at first. Like making more money
and taking on more responsibility.

If you don’t think you’re afraid of making more money, you’re
kidding yourself.

With more money comes more responsibility, and more responsibility
is scary for most people. Right?

Don’t be afraid of the responsibility that comes with success,
come to terms with it, face it head-on and embrace it instead.

But success is nothing more than a habit that ANYONE can develop.

If you can develop success habits, your success is just about
guaranteed!

For example: What do you do each day to reach your goals?

Do you even have goals?

Ok… then write down what you would like to accomplish each
day, week or month.

Since we’re talking about making more money, how much, at a
minimum would you like to earn each month?

Once you have that figure work backwards and determine HOW
you’re going to get to that figure. In other words, what do
you have to do TODAY to make your goal for the month?

If you said you want to make $10,000 per month, fine.

That’s $333.33 a day. Not out-of-reach for anyone. It’s
very possible to do, and not all that hard.

I can hear you saying, “Yeah right. Maybe for you it’s easy,
but I could never make that much.”

If you just said that to yourself, then you are guilty of
being afraid of success.

Stop yourself and realize that it’s only success and it’s
partner “responsibility” that you’re afraid of. Once you
know your enemy then you can overcome it.

So, what can you do to reach that goal.. starting today?

Get more listings up on ebay… build your opt-in list,
send out JV proposals, build more websites…

What do you have TO DO?

Success is a habit.

Start doing what you need to do today
and every day and petty soon it becomes a HABIT. You will
get better and more efficient at what you do and more
successful as you develop better work habits.

You’ll make mistakes and have small failures, but that will
help you learn what NOT to do, so you can focus on what
you should do (re-read my “Fail Faster For Success” report.)

Keep a TO DO list in front of you to help keep you on
track.

You see? Success is not hard. But you have to be un-afraid
to succeed. It is scary to move away from those comfortable
things you used to do- like watch TV or surf the net all
day without a goal…

But the results are worth it.

Don’t be afraid of success. Embrace it.

Best wishes,

- Dave Vallieres
“Think and Succeed”!
http://www.thinkandsucceed.com/free-gift-for-visiting

====================================================

I think the speaker got it right David, it’s the added responsibility that I need to prepare
myself to accept. Over the years I have accepted my share of responsibility i.e.
raising a family, being a Scouts Canada leader, running a non-profit bookstore for
a wholistic society, but money did not factor into this equation, altho I often
wished for much more than I had I always made do.

I read a lot about online marketers making $1,000′s and wish/hope/dream that
it could/would/will happen for me but alas the other side of the mind says
something else. But I’m working on it.

If you can relate to this topic then feel free to share your thoughts below. It’ll
be great to hear from you.

Marlon Sanders shares his insights and examples about the importance of getting the headline wording right. And he should know… he’s done it 122x already. Read the whole article for some great/interesting/inspiring insights and ideas.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Is Your Headline Missing The Two Most Important Words?

“How to tweak your headlines and possibly pull in thousands extra in sales” ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I just launched a new product. If you want to refer to the
sales letter as you read this article, it’s at:
http://www.marlonsanders.com/writerssecret

I made a mistake on the product title and headline and
quickly fixed it by changing just TWO WORDS.

I want to share these two words with you. Because maybe
YOUR headlines are missing these two words.

Let me explain.

First of all, if you’re new to all this, your headline is
the most important part of your sales page because it’s the
ad for the ad.

It determines whether or not the people who land on your
web page read anything else or immediately bounce. If you
get it wrong, you can kill your sales.

In fact, Michael Masterson says 80% of your sales are the
result of your headline and lead. The lead is the opening
of your sales letter.

Your headline needs to accomplish multiple objectives.

1. Get the message across that your product isn’t the same
old, same old.

In marketing we call this the USP or Unique Selling Proposition.
It’s a bit of a challenge to do this in extremely over-marketed
markets like Internet marketing.

People have pretty much seen it all and heard it all. So you
really have to put some brainpower into finding a unique angle.

2. Get across specifics

In general, specifics outpull generalities. They sound more
believable.

3. Communicate a crystal clear benefit or wifm — what’s in it
for me.

Now, if you leave OUT any of those elements, you can wreck your
results.

Change just a few words and you can spike your results.

My pal Daegan Smith is one of my “go to” guys when I need to
change or tweak a marketing process. You may have heard my
interview with Daegan in Promo Dashboard. If you didn’t, and
you have the product, you’ll find his interview on the “bonuses”
tab.

Great, great interview.

So anyway, as you hopefully know, I launched a new product this
week. When I say launched, I mean to my own list. I haven’t
even rolled it out to affiliates yet.

I wanted to make sure I had my letter tweaked and selling before
I gave my affiliates the opportunity to tell their folks about
it.

I try to treat my affiliates right. The same way I’d want to be
treated.

My letter wasn’t converting as good as I wanted. And we’d
had technical issues on the launch due to installing a new upsell
script and a few other things. Normally, things run like clockwork.
But Murphy (Murphy’s law) decided to pay us a visit.

So my copywriting brain wasn’t running at full speed. I decided to
use my “lifeline” option and call Daegan. My other lifeline “go to”
guy is Jason Fadlien or “Flads” as my pal Jit and I call him. But
Flads was nowhere to be found.

Lucky me, I had Daegan on the horn.

“Daegan, dog, what do you think of this headline?”

The headline originally read:

////////////////////////////////
Secrets of Making GGGGGGG
Anyplace Anytime Anywhere
Just By Writing On Your Laptop
And Selling Your Words
Over and Over and Over Again!
////////////////////////////////

The word “money” goes where the G’s are. I had to do that to
prevent this ezine from getting filtered to your forbidden box.

Anyway, that headline converted pretty mediocre. You’ll notice
there’s not a strong uniqueness about it. The uniqueness was in the
product title: “The Writer’s Secret.”

I felt that was a bit of an angle or idea people hadn’t heard
before.

But when it didn’t convert as I wanted, I changed it to:

////////////////////////////////////////
On December 3, 1998, I Discovered A
“Cookie Cutter” Secret That I’ve
Repeated 122 Times — And You Can
Use This Same Secret Starting
2 Hours and 58 Minutes From Right Now!
////////////////////////////////////////

I added specifics with the date and numbers. This sometimes helps.
And I changed the concept a bit.

But it still wasn’t rocking and rolling dollars into my account the
way I wanted. Sales weren’t just pouring in. They were coming in
but a bit slow for my tastes.

So I used my lifeline and called Daegan. Or maybe he called me.
I think he called me.

Anyway, Daegan shared with me how he already has his membership site
up to doing 70 g’s a month and he doesn’t even have his OTO (one
time offers” in place yet.

That boy can do pay-per-click and media buying like nobody’s
business. He’s just very thorough and systematic about sticking to
his guns.

My thing is the affiliate program. We’re on different marketing
models. But the same basics apply.

Anyway, Daegan said, “Marlon, I saw your email but I read the title
‘The Writer’s Secret’ and I thought ‘Even though I write every day,
I don’t want tips on how to write.’”

Of course, the product is NOT about how to write. It’s about the
exact model and system I’ve used since December 3, 1998 to bring in
money every month, month in and month out to the tune of millions of
dollars.

With small tweaks and differences, I’ve used pretty much the same
formula. I’ve added a few things to the mix and had to modify a part
here or there. But it’s an evergreen formula that has stood the test
of time.

I IMMEDIATELY saw what Daegan was talking about.

He said, “Your headline doesn’t give me a benefit. So what if it’s
a cookie cutter system? What will it do for me?”

I said, “Dog, I get it. I see it.” He fired back, “If I’m giving
copy advice to the great Marlon Sanders, I must be getting pretty
good at this.”

“Yeah, dog, you are,” I spit back.

You got to understand…I’m a copywriter by trade. And a darned
good one. But I don’t write for clients anymore. I do my thing and
that’s it.

Last year, I only produced one major product and several webinars.
So I’m out of practice in writing sales letters. I’m rusty. And
actually, this is one of the huge insights I got that allowed me to
articulate the concepts in “The Writer’s Secret.”

You know, any idiot can write things and make them complex. It
takes a lot of distilling, practice, mistakes and “boiling down” to
get just to the heart of something.

And say, “forget all the other noise, and just focus on THESE few
things.” It’s the 80/20 rule where 20% of the things get you 80% of
the results. But you gotta know what those 20% of things are.

I obviously know to have the WIFM (what’s in it for me) in the
headline. To have the big benefit in there.

But we had so many other factors in motion…moving servers…
installing a new affiliate software…all these other factors in
motion that I just couldn’t focus in on the sales letter.

When Daegan said that, I saw it immediately.

“Yeah dog, I get it,” I fired back to him. Then, to repay him for
his great insight, I explained to him my theory of “selling around
the edges.” A concept I’ve never heard anyone talk about. I try to
always give back the same or more to others than they give me.

Then, after getting off the phone, I read over the headline and
said, “How can I get THE BENEFIT in here?”

You need to be asking the SAME questions about your headline.

1. Does it project a unique idea that doesn’t sound like the same
old, same old?

2. Does it CONFUSE people?

In my case, “The Writer’s Secret” wasn’t the best title. It makes
it sound like it’s a product about how to write. So what could I
say to change that perception in the headline?

I scratched my head a bit.

3. Does it convey a crystal clear benefit?

I re-read my headline. I’d just finished watching the Frank Kern
video thingy he sent out. Frank is fond of using this term called
“money getting.” He’s the first person I heard use it and really,
it’s one heck of a phrase.

The reason I say that is that what MOST people do is use numbers or
claims that really push a gray line legally. I try to be very
conservative legally.

So I refuse to put blatant money claims in headlines and do the
things most marketers do. I’ve been around this Game 10X longer
than most. And that’s why I’m conservative.

The money isn’t yours if you don’t get to keep it because the gov’t
takes it away.

This also puts me at a bit of a disadvantage. I won’t say the
things others say. I have to imply or hint or communicate a
desirable benefit without being blatant about it.

Here is the headline I needed to tweak:

////////////////////////////////////////
On December 3, 1998, I Discovered A
“Cookie Cutter” Secret That I’ve
Repeated 122 Times — And You Can
Use This Same Secret Starting
2 Hours and 58 Minutes From Right Now!
////////////////////////////////////////

I zeroed in on those two words “cookie cutter.” There really isn’t
a clear benefit. I like the term. But what’s the benefit of a
cookie cutter? By implication it’s something you repeat over
and over.

But what’s the benefit of THAT?

Obviously it’s that you GET money. Enter Frank Kern.

I replaced those two words with “Money Getting” The new headline
became:

////////////////////////////////////////
On December 3, 1998, I Discovered A
“Cookie Cutter” Secret That I’ve
Repeated 122 Times — And You Can
Use This Same Secret Starting
2 Hours and 58 Minutes From Right Now!
////////////////////////////////////////

Now, I could have used many other words or ideas there. That’s
just what I came up with on the spur of the moment. And it
immediately and dramatically
increased sales.

The POINT of this is NOT to use those exact two words. If that’s
what you think, you totally and completely miss the point of what
I’m writing about.

The two words are NOT “money getting” The two words ARE whatever
the BIG BENEFIT for your buyer.

These are the two magic words: “big benefit”

The wifm has gotta be in your headline and gotta be crystal clear.

Here’s the point:

1. Does your headline spell out a crystal clear WIFM for the
reader?

2. Is there an element of uniqueness to your headline, so it
doesn’t sound like the same old, same old? In other words, do you
have any sort of USP (Unique Selling Proposition) in it?

3. Does your headline or product title CONFUSE the reader?

You can see what the new headline looks like at:

http://www.marlonsanders.com/writerssecret

Now, if you clicked on that link more than 48 hours ago, you’ll see
a different headline because I have a special “limited time offer”
script set up so I can automatically remove bonuses.

I forget to remove bonuses or change things. So I’m automating it
now. I’m going to add a bonus to Writer’s Secret that explains what
this script is and how to use it.

The OTHER thing I did to my sales letter was re-wrote the LEAD or
opening paragraphs to clarify a bit what the Writer’s Secret was
about. To make it clear it wasn’t “how to write” but that it was
about “money getting” or basically my exact formula for making a
living online that I’ve done
at least 122X since December 3, 1998.

If you read the letter, you’ll see 3 things:

1. Benefit — Money getting strategy

2. Proof — Used 122x since December 3, 1998

3. Uniqueness — Not what others are teaching

You’ll see those themes repeated multiple times in the headline and
the body copy.

I plan on releasing this to affiliates next week now that it’s
tweaked. I hope this inside look at the headline tweaks gives you
ideas about how to tweak your own headlines and sales letters.
